Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) is used by Jampol as a mean of extending shelf life. The air is removed from the space above the mushrooms as they are being packed by flushing the package with an inert gas such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen. MAP extends shelf-life and preserves the high quality of naturally preserved mushrooms. Also increases shelf-life quality in the distribution chain.
Forest mushroom is a true product of nature. We gather them for drying in the cleanest regions of Central Europe, where you will find no industry. What we offer is unique, clean fruit of the forest. This statement can be backed up by years of lab tests and continuous monitoring of the amount of minerals and contamination of the mushroom.
From around 100,000 species of mushrooms in the World, Europe has over 5000 while Poland about 4,000. There are over 1,000 edible species and around 200 of them are quite popular and are easily identified by our technologists. The best time for picking mushrooms is in the early morning, when they are sprinkled with morning dew and therefore shine, making them easier to spot.
We do not use any other method for preserving the mushrooms apart from the safest and most effective one - drying, which enables us to meet the highest food safety standards of the European Union and FDA. The whole process of picking, drying and packing of the mushrooms is being constantly supervised by our government agencies and is based on natural methods only.
